Papaya is a user-friendly application designed for individuals diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). This innovative app serves as an educational tool, enabling users to effectively monitor disease severity and symptoms, identify triggers, access current and reliable information about HS, participate in research endeavors, and locate nearby specialized healthcare providers familiar with HS.

The development of Papaya involved a collaborative effort between patients, patient advocates, and respected dermatologists. The app was created to empower individuals living with HS by facilitating a comprehensive understanding of their HS-related symptoms. It received contributions from HS Patient and Community Advocates associated with HS Connect, Hope for HS, HS Warriors, and the International Association of Hidradenitis Suppurativa Network.
